Comment Policy

The Short Version

Our comment sections exist so readers can share knowledge, ask questions, and learn from each other. If your comment adds value to the conversation, you're in the right place. If it's self-promotional, mean-spirited, or off-topic, it probably won't last long.

What Makes a Great Comment

The best comments tend to share one or more of these qualities:

• Real experience — Did you actually use this card or go through this application process? Share what happened.
• Specific details — "I got approved with a 720 score" is more useful than "great card!"
• Helpful intent — Are you trying to help the next person who reads this?
• Factual corrections — If we got something wrong, let us know (politely). We appreciate it.

What Gets Removed

We'll delete comments that:

• Drop referral links — This isn't the place to promote your own referrals.
• Attack other commenters — Disagree with ideas, not people.
• Spread false information — Especially about card terms, approval odds, or financial strategies.
• Share sensitive data — Never post SSNs, full card numbers, account passwords, or similar information. For your own safety.
• Go completely off-topic — Political rants, unrelated promotions, etc.

A Note on Privacy

Comments are public. Don't share anything you wouldn't want attached to your name. While our comment system allows pseudonyms, remember that anything you post could potentially be traced back to you.

Also, never share another person's private information without their consent.

How We Moderate

We review comments regularly but not in real-time. Problematic comments may stay up for a while before we catch them. If you see something that clearly violates these guidelines, feel free to flag it or email us.

We reserve the right to:

• Remove any comment for any reason
• Ban repeat offenders
• Disable comments on specific posts if things get out of hand
